Questions
What happens when I run out of credits?
Data endpoints answer 402 with code credits_exhausted until your monthly window resets; everything else keeps working, and so does the web app. Every response tells you how many credits you have left, so it is never a surprise. If you need more, talk to us about Enterprise.
How does the trial work?
You add a card at the start and get 14 days with 2,000 API credits and 500 export rows. Cancel before it ends and you are not charged; otherwise it becomes the monthly or yearly plan you picked.
Do yearly plans get their credits all at once?
No. Both plans get the same monthly allowance; the yearly plan costs ten months instead of twelve.
Where do you have data?
Georgia today, jurisdiction by jurisdiction. The coverage page lists each one with its date range and how complete every field is. Tell us where you need us next.
Do you sell owner names or phone numbers?
No. OpenPermits sells property records, not personal data. Names and phone numbers that appear on permits are never returned.
Can I use it to decide on someone's credit, insurance or employment?
No. Our terms prohibit using the data for consumer eligibility decisions.
